Message from the PAC Chair 

While people, focus, and execution have always been keys to our success, legislative and regulatory decisions made by Congress and the federal government can have a direct and significant impact on Ericsson’s profitability and performance in the U.S. We must use all available tools to influence those decisions and the Ericsson Political Action Committee (“PAC”) is one such tool.

U.S. law permits Ericsson—through its employees—to engage in the government decision-making process in two ways: (1) by speaking directly with members of Congress and their staffs regarding issues important to us; and (2) by supporting candidates for U.S. Congress through the Ericsson PAC.

Ericsson is prohibited by law from directly contributing to federal candidates. We can, however, combine voluntary personal contributions from eligible employees to strategically support these candidates. That makes the Ericsson PAC perhaps one of the most important outreach tools we have to help advance our policy goals. The PAC enables us to contribute with one Ericsson voice to the campaigns of candidates who stand with us on issues that are critical to the success of our company. Most of our competitors and customers also rely on their PACs to help advance their objectives.
